Ministers of the Word

Eucharist is the "source and summit" of our Christian life. To build the Body of Christ, the Church, the Kingdom of God here on earth, fully initiated members of the Church need the nourishments of the Body and Blood of Christ, the Eucharist in a regular and meaningful basis.  This is the ministry of the Eucharistic Ministers. It calls for dedication and sacrifice in time that includes serving in the Sunday masses and liturgical celebrations.

COMMUNION TO THE SICK

The Eucharistic Minister, or what is more liturgically correct - Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist, is also tasked to reach out and bring communion to registered parishioners that are aged, sick, and homebound, or for one reason or another unable to physically go to church. This is performed after every 10:00 AM Mass on Sundays. Those parishioners that require this service should contact the Parish Office during working hours so they can be included to receive communion. This is truly a ministry of service, love and compassion to our neighbors and to God.
There are currently close to 100 ministers including the youth, but much more are needed. The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few.
