YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS

The Youth and Young Adults Ministry encourages and promotes a sense of Christian values to live by, to understand and be comfortable with. It provides a place and opportunity for the parish youth to gather as one ever present with the Our Lord. An existing core team is made of a President, Vice President, Recorder, Treasurer, Event Coordinator, and Chaplain. The core team meets on the 1st Sunday of each month at 9:30 AM when they plan for monthly activities and events.

The Youth gatherings are on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Youth Room.  The Core Team, with the guidance of the Young Adults, arrange for the Youth to plan for their events and outings to the beach, bowling, pizza, etc. They also have an ongoing ministry whereby they help feed the Rachel House, coffee and do-nuts sales after Masses, and assist in Parochial tasks wherever and whenever they are needed.

Young adults are a very active group as they help sponsor the youth gatherings. The Young Adults recently returned from “World Youth Day” in Sydney, Australia as over 600 Thousand Catholic Youth met the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, and participated in Catholic Christian conferences and liturgies. The Young Adults actively live their discipleship as they are involved in numerous ministries as Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Confirmation Retreat Masters, CCD Teachers and more. They meet monthly either in parish facilities or in their own chosen venues.
